Our present bodies are subject to weakness, sickness, aging, and death, but God has promised a glorious transformation for His people. At the resurrection, the corruptible will put on incorruption and the mortal will put on immortality. This is the glorious hope awaiting those who belong to Christ. Let us therefore remain faithful until that wonderful day. Scriptural Readings for the Day 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 KJV 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Philippians 3:21 (KJV) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of a glorified body. Help me to remain faithful in this present life as I look forward to the transformation You have promised. Amen.
