The Bible warns that before the coming of Christ, there will be a great falling away from the faith. Many who once professed Christ will turn from the truth because of deception, persecution, worldly desires, or false teaching. We must remain steadfast in the faith and hold firmly to the truth of God’s Word. The falling away does not mean that people will no longer go to Church. In fact, there has been a tremendous increase in Church growth around the world and I believe it will continue until the Rapture will take place. The challenge is that even though there is growth in the number of Christians worldwide, many people join the Church without genuine repentance. Scriptural Readings for the Day 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV) “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” Matthew 24:13 (KJV) “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Prayer Lord, keep me from falling away from the truth. Help me to remain faithful, steadfast, and obedient until the end, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
