Oftentimes the Devil attacks God’s Word in a very subtle way. He manipulates the truth most times, instead of opposing it directly. He presents adulterated truths and makes it look beautiful and attractive to humanity. This is the same strategy Satan used in the Garden of Eden. It was the same he used for Jesus Christ when he quoted Psalm 91:11-12. Let’s be wise enough to know his strategies.
There are three types of righteousness in the New Testament. These are broken down in this teaching so that everyone can have a deep understanding of what they are.
They are:
1. Self-righteousness
2. Imputed Righteousness
3. Inherent Righteousness
We receive imputed righteousness from Jesus Christ for free. Having being declared righteous what is the evidence that shows that we have been forgiven and justified?
We were all born into sin. When we believe in Jesus Christ and repent of our sins we washed. We have been made righteous in Christ because He died in our place.
“Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.” Luke 13:23-30 KJV
Salvation is the free gift of eternal life that God gives to all who believe in Jesus Christ, but following Jesus Christ requires denial of oneself and the obedience to the God of this Kingdom. Journeying through this dark world of sin is a battle. It requires obedience, patience and sacrifice, if not entering the Kingdom is not guaranteed. There are lots of things the Kingdom of God costs you as a believer, but the end of it is unspeakable joy and eternal bliss in the presence of God Almighty, the Hosts of Angels and the triumphant Saints in Heaven.
