True holiness begins in the heart and must be reflected in our outward lives. Outward holiness without inward holiness is hypocrisy. The Holy Spirit transforms us from within, and that inward transformation should produce godly fruit outwardly. As Jesus said, “For a good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit” (Matthew 7:17, KJV). Therefore, let our hearts and our outward lives both reflect Christ.
The Church has a mission that must continue until Jesus comes. We are called to preach the Gospel, make disciples, demonstrate Christ’s love, and call people to repentance. The expectation of Christ’s return should make us more committed to the Great Commission, not less. Let us use every opportunity to reach the lost while there is still time. As the return of Jesus draws near, the Bible warns that many people will mock the promise of His coming. They may ask, “Where is the promise of his coming?” because they judge God’s promises by human experience and the passage of time. We must not allow their unbelief to weaken our faith. God is not slow concerning His promises; His timing is perfect, and Christ will come exactly as He has promised. The Bible warns that the last days will be difficult and dangerous because of the moral and spiritual condition of humanity. Believers must not allow the corruption around them to weaken their faith or compromise their convictions. We are called to stand firmly upon God’s Word and continue in righteousness. The darker the world becomes, the more brightly God’s people should shine. The Church needs spiritual awakening and genuine revival as we approach the end of the age. Revival begins when God’s people humble themselves, repent, pray, and turn away from sin. We should not merely seek excitement or outward manifestations but a genuine return to God and His Word. May the Lord revive His people and prepare them for the coming of Christ.
