Jesus warned of a period of unprecedented trouble called the great tribulation. It will be a time of severe suffering, deception, persecution, and divine judgment. This is a reminder to keep ourselves pure so that we can escape through the rapture, and not pass through this horrible period. Whatever one’s understanding of the timing of these events, the warning of Scripture should cause every believer to remain spiritually awake and faithful. Our confidence must remain in the Lord, who is greater than every tribulation. Give me courage, endurance, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, whatever difficulties may come upon the earth. Amen.
The Church has a mission that must continue until Jesus comes. We are called to preach the Gospel, make disciples, demonstrate Christ’s love, and call people to repentance. The expectation of Christ’s return should make us more committed to the Great Commission, not less. Let us use every opportunity to reach the lost while there is still time. Jesus taught that the harvest represents the end of the age and the gathering of souls. As the coming of Christ draws near, the Church must not become distracted from its mission of preaching the Gospel. There are still many people who need to hear the message of salvation. Let us work faithfully while we still have opportunity. Jesus warned that false prophets would arise and deceive many people in the last days. Not every preacher or teacher speaks the truth of God’s Word. We must test every teaching by the Scriptures and remain grounded in sound doctrine. Those who know God’s Word are less likely to be deceived. “Where are those who claim to know how to calculate the times? Have you not seen that you have failed? If you had known why I brought Donald Trump to power, you would have been praying for him. His life is at risk. This is a war; it is spiritual. He needs your support. I am looking for men and women all over the world that will pray for him daily. He is the enemy of darkness. His life is more at risk spiritually than physically. I want Christians to pray for him on a daily basis.”
