The Christian race is synonymous to carrying a cross of responsibility for the sake of our faith in Jesus Christ. There are inherent sufferings in following Jesus Christ but we should not be discouraged because the joy that is set before us is huge. Therefore, let’s always remember that we are strangers in this world, journeying to our eternal home where we shall be crowned, if we do not faint.
Some times God takes us to the wilderness of life, strips us of every help so that we can acknowledge Him and give Him His position in our hearts. The wilderness is a place of temptation but it is also a place we can utilize the opportunity of being alone with God by strengthening our relationship with God.
God’s relationship with the Israelites reveals to us how God uses enemies to discipline His children. His purpose is to make His children run back to Him for reconciliation and deliverance.
God is a loving God but when He sees us going the wrong way He could use hardship and sickness to discipline us. In this video I share my personal experience. This is a hard truth but it remains the truth. There are times that God closes the Heaven as a means of disciplinary measures. Experiencing a closed Heaven could be in form of God keeping silence, closing Heaven against your prayers, living away from the dew of Heaven, etc. If you are experiencing a closed Heaven diagnose the cause and settle it with God.

The love of God makes God to discipline His Children when they go astray. The purpose of chastising us is to correct us and make us turn to Him. Instead of being discouraged when we face chastisement, let’s reciprocate this act of love by making use of God’s grace and mercy by turning back to Him.
