In a time when many teachings compete for our attention, believers must remain firmly established in the doctrine of Christ and His apostles. The early Church continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers. Their commitment to the truth provided a strong foundation for their faith and spiritual growth. Unfortunately, many Christians today are abandoning sound biblical teachings in favour of modern doctrines that appeal to human desires. Some teachings that were clearly condemned by the apostles are now being accepted and celebrated in certain churches. However, the truth of God’s Word does not change with time, culture, or popular opinion. As we await the return of Jesus Christ, we must examine every teaching in the light of Scripture. Let us remain faithful to the apostolic doctrine and refuse to compromise the truth, regardless of how unpopular it becomes. Scriptural Readings for the Day Acts 2:42 (KJV) “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” 2 Timothy 3:14 (KJV) “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;” Titus 1:9 (KJV) “Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.” Prayer Heavenly Father, help me to remain steadfast in the truth of Your Word. Give me discernment to reject false doctrines and the courage to uphold sound biblical teachings. Keep me faithful to the apostolic faith until the coming of Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
