Everything in this world is temporary and will one day pass away. However, God’s Kingdom is eternal and cannot be shaken by wars, disasters, or the changing events of history. As citizens of this unshakable Kingdom, we should place our confidence in God rather than in earthly systems. Let us serve Him with reverence and godly fear. Scriptural Readings for the Day Hebrews 12:28 (KJV) “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Psalm 145:13 (KJV) “Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.” Daniel 7:14 (KJV) “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” Prayer Father, thank You that I belong to Your unshakable Kingdom. Help me to trust You completely and serve You faithfully regardless of what happens in the world. Amen.
Although we believers live on earth, our true citizenship is in heaven. Our values, priorities, and conduct should reflect the Kingdom to which we belong. We are ambassadors
of Christ, representing Him in a world that desperately needs His light. Let your life point others to the heavenly Kingdom.
Scriptural Readings for the Day Philippians 3:20-21 (NIV) 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
2 Corinthians 5:20A (KJV) “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
Prayer Heavenly Father, help me to live each day as a citizen of heaven. May my thoughts, words, and actions bring glory to Your name and point others to Jesus Christ. Amen
Many people are deceived because they neglect God’s Word and prefer messages that satisfy their own desires. The safest protection against deception is a daily relationship with Christ and a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. Ask God for discernment so that you may recognize truth from error. Those who remain in God’s Word will remain in His truth. Scriptural Readings for the Day Hosea 4:6A (KJV) “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…” Matthew 22:29 (KJV) “Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” John 8:31-32 (KJV) “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Prayer Lord, increase my understanding of Your Word. Keep me from deception and help me to walk in the light of Your truth. Amen.
Not everyone who claims to follow Christ truly belongs to Him. Counterfeit Christianity emphasizes outward appearances while neglecting genuine repentance, holiness, and obedience to God’s Word. The sugar-coated Gospel has given birth to fake Christians who invent their own way of worshipping God. Jesus desires disciples who worship Him in spirit and in truth. Let us examine ourselves to ensure that our faith is real and founded upon Christ. Scriptural Readings for the Day Matthew 15:8-9 (KJV) “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Titus 1:16 (KJV) “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” 2 Corinthians 13:5 (KJV) “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” Prayer Heavenly Father, let my faith be genuine and my heart be fully devoted to You. Help me to follow Jesus in truth and holiness every day. Amen.
Not every spiritual experience or message comes from God. The Bible commands believers to test every spirit according to God’s Word. We should never accept a teaching simply because it is popular or accompanied by signs and wonders. Let the Scriptures always be our final authority. Scriptural Readings for the Day 1 John 4:1 (KJV) “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Acts 16:16-17 KJV 16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: 17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. Prayer Lord, give me wisdom to test every teaching by Your Holy Word. Keep me from error and establish me in Your truth. Amen.
