Death entered the world through sin, but Jesus Christ came to conquer sin and death. For the believer, death is not the final victory because there is a resurrection and the promise of eternal life with Christ. One day death itself will be destroyed forever. Therefore, we can face the future with hope because our Saviour has overcome the grave. Death is not the end of existence. The Bible teaches that every person will face God after this life and that there will be a resurrection and judgment. This should cause us to examine our lives and make our peace with God through Jesus Christ. Let us never live as though this present life is all that matters. Hell is a serious biblical reality that Jesus Himself warned about repeatedly. It is a place of judgment prepared for the devil and his angels, and those who reject God’s salvation will face eternal punishment. The reality of hell should move us to take sin seriously, flee from unrighteousness, and receive God’s salvation through Jesus Christ. We must also urgently warn others while there is still time.
