Even though we don’t hear messages about the kingdom of God often these days, the greatest message Jesus preached was the Kingdom of God. From the beginning of His earthly ministry until His ascension, He proclaimed the Kingdom and called people to enter it. Salvation is not merely an escape from hell but it is an invitation into God’s Kingdom. Every believer becomes a citizen of God’s Kingdom and is expected to live according to its principles. Sadly, many Christians know about the Kingdom, but few understand what it means to live a Kingdom lifestyle. The Kingdom lifestyle is a way of life that reflects the rule of God in every area of our lives. As we begin this series, we shall discover what it truly means to live as ambassadors of Christ and citizens of heaven. We shall study the attitudes, values, responsibilities, and conduct expected of everyone who belongs to God’s Kingdom.
God has called His people to live holy lives because He Himself is holy. Holiness is not merely an outward appearance but a heart that is separated from sin and devoted to God. As we wait for Christ’s return, we must pursue purity in our thoughts, words, and actions. A holy life is pleasing to God and prepares us for eternity. Scriptural Readings for the Day 1 Peter 1:15-16 (KJV) “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 (KJV) “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” Prayer Holy Father, sanctify my heart and help me to live a life that is pleasing in Your sight. May I walk in holiness until the return of Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Christian life is a race that must be finished with faithfulness. Many begin well, but only those who endure to the end will receive the promised reward. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus and remain steadfast until our journey is complete. Scriptural Readings for the Day 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” Hebrews 12:1 (KJV) “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Matthew 24:13 (KJV) “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Prayer Gracious Father, give me strength to remain faithful throughout my Christian journey. Help me to finish my race with joy and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Lord has given every believer gifts and responsibilities to use for His glory. Rather than becoming idle, we should faithfully serve Him until He returns. Let every day be spent advancing God’s Kingdom and bringing glory to His name. Scriptural Readings for the Day Luke 19:13 (KJV) “And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV) “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” Colossians 3:23 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Prayer Lord, help me to use every opportunity to serve You faithfully. May my life bring honour to Your name until You return. Amen.
God has prepared eternal rewards for those who remain faithful. The enemy seeks to discourage believers and draw them away from Christ. Hold firmly to your faith and continue walking with the Lord until the end. Scriptural Readings for the Day Revelation 3:11 (KJV) “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” 2 Timothy 4:8 (KJV) “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” James 1:12 (KJV) “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” Prayer Heavenly Father, help me to stand firm in the faith. Keep me faithful until the end so that I may receive the crown You have promised. Amen.
