God doesn’t come from Heaven in person to encourage us in the time of trials but He positions some persons around us to encourage us. Some of them may appear to be harsh and hard on us.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” (James 1:2-4, 12)
